I have trouble trying to reconcile being anti-capital punishment with my absolute revulsion at rapists and pedophiles.
Pedophilia is a mental disorder though. All paraphilias are. I agree that when they act on their fantasies, it gets bad fast. And i don’t condone it at all, nor do i wish that sort of behavior on any child, but i think what they need is psychiatric help rather than the death penalty or something like that.
Rape i have no qualms about capital punishment being used.
